Microbiological feed additive "BONAKA-APK" with probiotic effect to normalize intestinal microflora, increase overall resistance, safety and productivity of cattle and small cattle

A large group of scientists worked on the development of the probiotic. After a large number of experiments and a comprehensive analysis of the information received, the consortium of microorganisms that has unique properties and is most effective when used in veterinary medicine was determined. The complex contains microorganisms of precisely those genera and species that predominate in the intestines of healthy animals and have the greatest physiological significance. In young cattle, the probiotic is a direct source of normal intestinal wall microflora, displacing potentially pathogenic microflora. This not only lowers the morbidity and reduces the release of pathogenic bacteria into the environment, but also ensures the rapid formation of the rumen microbiocenosis in ruminants, stimulating all stages of digestion, improving feed conversion thanks to the enzymatic properties of probiotic microorganisms, as well as increasing the number of bacteria and infusoria in the rumen thanks to of its use.
A special mode of sorption drying on an organic medium made it possible to obtain a "protected" form of microorganisms: they quickly restore biological activity, multiply and populate the digestive tract even in animals in the first days of life and with diarrhea, which has been proven experimentally. Most of the other drugs of similar composition do not allow the adaptation of bacteria in the intestine due to the short transit time. Freeze-dried microorganisms in other preparations require a long time to restore their activity, which is why they are simply excreted into the environment with feces in young animals with diarrhea, dying there due to their anaerobic nature.
A special drying mode and the presence of "protected" forms of microorganisms facilitates the storage of the feed additive. To use it, the corner of the package is cut off, the necessary amount of probiotic is poured out, and then the hole is tightened with an elastic band or a clamp. At room temperature and in the absence of high humidity, you can use the drug from the opened package within a month. When stored in the refrigerator, the opened packaging with a liquid form remains active for six months.
"Microbiological complex "Bonaka-APK"" and "Microbiological complex "Bonaka-APK-N"" do not contain genetically modified strains of bacteria, antibiotics, hormones, being truly environmentally safe products. The complex does not cause a toxic effect even with repeated (20-30 times) excess of the dose.
Our microbiological complex can be used against simultaneously with antibiotics and anthelmintics. It does not contain synthetic additives and is easily combined with premixes. Various sorbent fillers provide a wide range of probiotic applications: individually or in a group way in a mixture with concentrated feeds; with water, colostrum or milk.

Dosage for cattle:

•  newborn calves and up to 1 month old – "Bonaka-APK" – 10.0 g per head, "Bonaka-APK-N" – 10-30 ml per head per day (the first portion of feed additive – starting with 2^nd-3^rd colostrum consumption, can be given with water or milk);
• calves from 1 to 6 months old – "Bonaka-APK" – 1.0-2.0 kg per 1 ton of feed, "Bonaka-APK-N" – 10-30 ml per head per day;
• calves from 6 months to 1 year old – "Bonaka-APK" – 1.0-2.0 kg per 1 ton of feed, "Bonaka-APK-N" – 10-30 ml per head per day
• adult animals – "Bonaka-APK" – 3.0 kg per 1 ton of feed;
• pregnant cows – "Bonaka-APK" – 4.0 kg 1 ton of feed, "Bonaka-APK-N" – 50-100 ml per head per day.

From the age of one month for individual or group feeding, it is preferable to use the form of "Bonaka-APK" mixed with concentrated feeds.
The best result is achieved with constant use of probiotics. To restore digestion after the use of antibiotics, anthelmintics, coccidiostatics or after feed poisoning, "Microbiological complex "Bonaka-APK"" and "Microbiological complex "Bonaka-APK-N"" are prescribed simultaneously with these drugs, as well as within 10-15 days after their cancellation.

The microbiological complex "Bonaka-APK" is mixed with concentrated feed. The dose is 3.0 kg per 1 ton of feed.
Probiotic microorganisms contained in it contribute to an increase in the number of bacteria and infusoria, stimulate the microbiota of the rumen, fermentation of carbohydrates, synthesis of bacterial protein, volatile fatty acids, vitamins, biologically active substances. This normalizes and improves metabolism, increases the assimilation of feed, increases milk productivity. An increase in milk yields by 10-20% is noted from the 5^th day after the start of probiotic use with stabilization at the maximum level by 7^th-10^th days while maintaining fat content and protein content in milk, or with a tendency to increase them. When the probiotic is canceled, milk yields decrease to the initial level after 6-10 days, and in ecologically safe regions – after a month. The effect is most pronounced in the first half of lactation.
It should be noted that the diet must necessarily contain coarse feed (hay in the required amount). The use of probiotics cannot compensate for gross feeding disorders.
Additional effects from the use of the "Microbiological complex "Bonaka-APK"" are improvement of fertilization, improvement of trophic and fetal formation with the subsequent birth of more viable calves, prevention of metritis and mastitis. The negative consequences of stress, violations of zootechnical parameters of feeding and maintenance, changes in diet are reduced. Toxic effects are reduced caused by the possible intake of low-quality feed. The use of the complex acts as the prevention of the development of acidosis, dysbiosis and hypotension of the rumen during an acidic profile of the diet of animals, and also improves metabolism, increases resistance, immunity.

"Bonaka-APK" – 10.0 g per head, "Bonaka-APK-N" – 100 ml per head per day for 3-5 days.
 The microbiological complex enhances humoral and cellular immunity. In animals, there is an increase in bactericidal, lysozyme and β-lysine activity of blood serum, an increase in phagocytic activity, an improvement in the synthesis of nonspecific antibodies and the effectiveness of vaccinations.
The appointment of feed additive to calves together with hyperimmune serums provides a more pronounced preventive effect, reduces the duration of illness in animals, increases their safety by 10-15%, prevents relapses of the disease, provides rapid recovery of effective digestion and body weight gains.

During pregnancy, large-molecular proteins immunoglobulins (Ig), which protect against pathogens, are not transmitted from the mother's blood to the fetus. Therefore, newborn calves do not have them in their blood or they are available in small quantities. Their own immune organs are not developed; therefore, calves are not able to synthesize a sufficient amount of their own Ig in the first days of life. This is aggravated by low nonspecific resistance. This condition is defined as an immunodeficiency and is registered before receiving a sufficient amount of immunoglobulins (colostral Ig) from a full-fledged maternal colostrum. Therefore, it is very important and economically justified to give a probiotic to pregnant cows to increase the level of immunoglobulins in their milk. In addition, a calf will receive the "first portion" of normal microflora from at birth in the birth canal from a healthy cow. An additional appointment of the microbiological complex "Bonaka-APK-N" from the first days of the life leads to the fact that only the normal flora, rapidly multiplying in the intestine, becomes dominant and creates protection (colonization resistance), which prevents the colonization of the digestive tract by pathogenic microorganisms.
If calves from the first weeks of life have not colonized the intestines with normal microflora, which should create local protection of the intestinal mucosa and stimulate the development of its lymphoid structures, then it is mainly populated by enterobacteria, staphylococci and streptococci, other aerobic microorganisms that are widespread in the environment. They are potentially pathogenic and can cause disease caused by excessive reproduction against the background of low resistance of calves. This leads to the emergence of massive gastrointestinal diseases of bacterial, viral and other etiologies, which, in turn, negatively affects economic indicators.

The widespread use of organic acids in recent years for the prevention of gastrointestinal pathology in young animals reduces the contamination of potentially pathogenic microflora of the digestive tract due to their antiseptic properties. But at the same time, the necessary level of beneficial microorganisms is not preserved. Therefore, when using organic acids with any kind of feed, it is additionally recommended to use a probiotic as a donor of normal microflora.
